Masandawana have been dealt a major blow as Arendse and Vilakazi face lengthy spells on the sidelines

Mamelodi Sundowns face the prospect of finishing the season without Sibusiso Vilakazi and Wayne Arendse who are both nursing injuries.

Head coach Pitso Mosimane confirmed that both players were ruled out for eight weeks, although he revealed that Vilakazi is on his second or third week.

The 27-year-old will consider himself as unlucky as he was starting to find his feet at Chloorkop.

The Brazilians are currently experiencing a slump in form which has seen them drop crucial points.

Nevertheless, Mosimane is happy to welcome back goalkeeper Denis Onyango ahead of Wednesday’s encounter against Bloemfontein Celtic.

"He could have played against Chiefs but we decided there was no need to push him. This was not a title decider. We will need him in the coming games. If this was a title decider, then I would have played him," Mosimane told reporters when asked about the Uganda international's return from injury.
