Sunday Oliseh has expressed joy over his phenomenal season campaign ending as manager of Fortuna Sittard after a 3-0 victory over six-placed Volendam.

Strikes from Jorrit Smeets, Ferry de Regt and Roald Van Hout ensured the Sittardians secured their eighth win in 19 matches under the tutelage of the Nigerian coach.

Friday’s comprehensive win over Johan Steur's men sees Oliseh’s men finish their league campaign with 48 points after an impressive run in the second stanza.

The 42-year-old who succeeded Ben van Dael at the Eerste Divisie side, helped them earn a comfortable finish having met them languishing near the drop zone.
