South African striker Mothiba rejoins French club Valenciennes

French club Valenciennes FC have completed the signing of South African starlet Lebogang Mothiba.

The South Africa Under-23 striker has joined French Ligue 2 club on a season-long loan deal from OSC Lille, who campaign in the Ligue 1.

Despite scoring only two goals in nine league appearances for Valenciennes after joining the club midway through the 2016/17 season, the club have retained his services.

Mothiba, who is a Diambars Academy product, was a short-term loan stint and he managed to impress the Valenciennes technical team which is led by head coach Faruk Hadžibegić..

Valenciennes will be campaigning in the Ligue 2 during the 2017/18 season as they look to gain promotion to the top flight league.
