Sofapaka's new signing Kepha Aswani is targeting 10 goals with Batoto ba Mungu in the first leg of the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season.
Aswani, who scored 13 league goals for Nakumatt FC last season, termed his move to Sofapaka as a big step even as he prepares to start the chase for his second KPL title.
“Since I joined Sofapaka, they’ve been talking about winning the league this year and that’s what brought me here,” Aswani who last won the KPL title with Mathare United in 2008 told Goal.
Aswani also revealed that it took him time to adapt to Sofapaka’s style of play when he joined the side but added the technical bench helped him to catch up.
“My target is to score 10 goals in the first leg then I can start talking about Golden Boot in the second leg."
To achieve this, the former AFC Leopards and Thika United striker will need the synergy from his striking partners, Stephen Waruru and Ugandan import, Umaru Kasumba to break defence of KPL opponents and score goals.
