The Blue Waves have landed the services of the Miners striker until 2021 and he's already hoping to hit the ground running

Egyptian Premier League side FC Smouha have announced the signing of Ghanaian striker Hans Kwofie from Ashanti Gold in a three-and-half-year deal.

The 28-year-old had a fantastic campaign in the 2017 Ghana Premier League season as he ended as topscorer with 17 goals, including four scored on final day against champions Aduana Stars.

Kwofie was linked with a move to local giants Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak but opted for the Egyptian team.

"Thanks to everyone who played a role in my coming here. It's another opportunity to prove myself and make Ghanaians proud so I'm ready for the challenge," Kwofie said.

"I have some Ghanaian players around so definitely, I will feel at home."

Kwofie becomes the third Ghanaian at the club after Stephen Sarfo and Augustine Okrah, who joined the outfit as a free agent on Wednesday.
