According to an impeccable source within the Amakhosi camp, Xulu has been training on his own to keep fit whilst waiting for his contractual saga with the club to be resolved.
"Magazi was told he cannot join the pre-season training, and I can confirm that he's been training on his own with a personal trainer," the source told Goal.
"He's keeping fit, and I can tell you now that he's in good shape. He's just waiting for the matter with Chiefs to be resolved before moving on with his career," the source said.
The source also confirmed that Chiefs are still paying Xulu on a monthly basis as he's still contracted to them.
Amakhosi annnounced three weeks ago that Xulu was not in the Steve Komphela's plans for the 2017/18 PSL season.
The 25-year-old KwaMashu-born defender has a lot of potential suitors waiting on the wings.
Goal reported that Cape Town City and Orlando Pirates are among the teams very interested in signing Xulu when he becomes a free agent.
