Schlupp delighted by Sunday triumph over Liverpool

The Ghanaian is happy to have helped Crystal Palace to three points in the English topflight

Crystal Palace defender Jeffrey Schlupp has praised his team's performance in Sunday's 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Ghanaian lasted the entire duration at Anfield as Christian Benteke scored twice to lift the Eagles to 12th on the table.

"Huge 3 points today. Great team performance and fans outstanding again!!," Schlupp tweeted via his official Twitter handle.

Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring for the home side on the 24th minute, bending a sweet free-kick over the wall and into the left corner from 30-yard.

Benteke, on the books of Liverpool last season, restored parity three minutes to half-time, tapping in from close range after Yohan Cabaye delivered a ball into the box.

The Belgium international then secured three points for the Eagles on the 76th minute, diving to head home Jason Puncheon's cross.

Schlupp, who joined Palace in January, has now made 11 league appearances involving seven starts for Sam Allardyce's outfit.

He played for Leicester City last season, helping the Foxes win the league title for the first time ever.
