Former Tottenham Hotspur star Garth Crooks has likened Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah to club legends Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish and John Barnes.
Since he arrived at the Merseyside from Roma last summer, Salah has scored 29 goals for Jurgen Klopp’s side all competitions this season.
The 25-year-old increased his league tally to 22 goals in 26 appearances on Sunday evening as the Reds thumped Southampton 2-0 at the St. Mary’s Stadium.
And the ex-footballer does not see the Egypt international halting his impressive form for the Anfield outfit.
“There is just no stopping Mo Salah at the moment,” Crooks told BBC.
“He made Liverpool's first goal against Southampton and scored the second, and that was before half-time.
“He looks imperious in that Liverpool strip.
“I’ve seen Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalglish and John Barnes generate extraordinary hysteria at Anfield and it looks like Salah is in that class.
“I’m not sure who is enjoying his performances more, the player or the Liverpool fans.”
Salah will look to continue his laudable feat when Liverpool visit Porto for their Uefa Champions League tie on Wednesday.
