Despite the Nigerian getting the equaliser, the Italians were undone in the shoot-out as Les Parisiens held their nerve to win

Nigeria’s Sadiq Umar was on target for AS Roma as they bowed to PSG in the International Champions Cup as they lost a dramatic penalty shoot-out in Michigan.

The teams could not be separated in normal time, with Roma coming from behind to level matters before eventually bowing 5-3 in the shoot-out.

The French side took the lead thanks to an individual effort from Marquinhos, but the Italians leveled in the 61st minute through Umar, who had replaced Edin Dzeko early in the second half.

Marquinhos sealed victory during the penalty shootout after Gerson had lost his kick as PSG  emerged victorious.
