Arsenal's chief transfer fixer Dick Law is not planning on leaving at the end of the season and reports linking him with a departure are ‘greatly exaggerated’, a club source has told Goal.

Law has been the club’s fixer on transfer deals and re-negotiation of contracts for existing players since 2009 and previously helped bring Gilberto Silva and Carlos Vela to Emirates Stadium before taking up his current role.

He was previously Arsenal’s scout in South America and after that North America, helping to establish a network of scouts for Wenger’s side.

With close ally Wenger set to announce a decision on his future in the coming weeks, recent reports have claimed that Law is also considering his own situation at the club and could be set to leave at the end of the season.

However, Goal understands these reports are wide of the mark with a club source stating that Law’s future is not linked to Wenger’s and the reports in question are ‘greatly exaggerated’.

Law, who has an office at London Colney training ground, operates typically like a director of football although he has never been given that official title.

His main responsibilities are strategy, contract negotiations, administration and planning, and he was a key mover in the deal which brought Mesut Ozil from Real Madrid to Arsenal in the final days of the 2013 summer transfer window.
