Wayne Rooney has returned to Manchester United's starting XI for Sunday's clash with Burnley at Turf Moor.

The England international comes in for Marcus Rashford - who is named among the substitutes - to make just his second start of the calendar year.

In all United make eight changes from the side that beat Anderlecht on Thursday, with David de Gea, Ashley Young and Ander Herrera among those back in the XI.

Anthony Martial and Daley Blind also both start with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcos Rojo ruled out with knee ligament damage picked up earlier in the week.

Burnley, meanwhile, make just one change from their defeat to Everton last time out as Andre Gray replaces Sam Vokes up front.
