Robert Matano and ‘Gattuso’ to remain banned from AFC Leopards

AFC Leopards registered their second win in the league this season after downing Sony Sugar 2-0 at Awendo Stadium

AFC Leopards coach Robert Matano and defensive midfielder Collins ‘Gattuso’ Okoth fates are set to be known either this week or next week.

The tactician was summoned by the team's NEC council following a number of issues that 'affected the team's performance' while ‘Gattuso’ was asked to write an official letter to the club explaining his recent behaviors.

Club's official Oscar Igaida has told Goal that the committee is on the duo's case and soon an amicable decision will be reached.

“We have met him (Matano), unfortunately we were unable to conclude, it is something that will go beyond this week meaning he will not be on the touch line this weekend, Kitambi (Dennis) will be in charge.

“As for ‘Gattuso’, we are on his case, and we will communicate our decision late this week or earlier next week.”
