Rivaldo Coetzee wins big at Ajax Cape Town awards

The South Africa international was honoured with two big awards on the day, and therefore making him the club's best player this season

Ajax Cape Town defender Rivaldo Coetzee walked away with two major awards at the club's end of the season function on Saturday. 

The 20-year-old was named the club's Player of the Season as well as the Players' Player of the Season for his solid performances throughout the campaign.

Coetzee has made 24 appearances in all competitions so far this season, and despite enduring a difficult period when Stanley Menzo first arrived, he remained loyal to the Mother City outfit.

Meanwhile, Grant Margeman was named the club's Rookie of the Season. 

The 18-year-old was promoted at the start of the campaign, and has had a terrific year. He is away with the South African U20 national team, Amajita.

Defender Eric Chipeta won the Goal of the Season award. The Zimbabwean scored the goal during his team's 2-1 defeat to Bidvest Wits.
