Gabriel Jesus has revealed which shirt number he has requested at Manchester City as he prepares for life in the Premier League.
The Brazilian starlet completed a move to the Eithad Stadium during the summer, becoming one of Pep Guardiola's seven arrivals in a deal worth in excess of £27 million, but remained with Palmeiras until the conclusion of the 2016 Brasileiro Sere A season.
Palmeiras were crowned champions, their first in 22 years, and the Brazil international flew to Manchester to watch Chelsea run out 3-1 winners at the weekend.
Jesus is now hoping to wear the same shirt number from his time with his boyhood club, telling ESPN: "I had told them it’s hard without the 33. I want this number because I used it since I was promoted at Palmeiras."
The 19-year-old has made a big impact in 2016. In addition to winning a league tile, Jesus has also established himself in the Brazil national team with four goals in just six appearances.
