Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos inspires my playing style

As the race for the Coca Cola title continues, captain of Owerri City School has picked the Spaniard as his role model

Owerri City School’s Victory Iwu says he looks to model his game on Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos.

Iwu gave a good account of himself as his side forced Community Secondary School, Rivers State to a 1-1 draw.

He admits he is hoping to reach the level of the Spaniard who led his side to win the 2017 Uefa Champions League.

"Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos is who I look up to and this is because he is aggressive and he also puts in a lot to help his team,’’ Iwu told Goal.

Following his side’s shaky start, he has assured that his team will bounce back in subsequent games.

"We did not understand ourselves in the first half that was why we struggled at the beginning of the game," he continued.

"I wasn't impressed with the way we played but we will go back to our base and correct our mistakes for the next game. I'm very sure we will come out victorious in our next game.’’
