Real Madrid Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Celta Vigo

Everything you need to know ahead of Los Blancos' Primera Division clash at home to the Galician side this weekend...

Real Madrid will play at the Santiago Bernabeu for the final time this season as they meet Celta Vigo in La Liga on Saturday.

Zinedine Zidane's side lost 3-2 at Sevilla in a rearranged fixture on Wednesday night as the French coach left out a string of first-team regulars at the Sanchez Pizjuan.

Along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Dani Carvajal (injured) and Gareth Bale (suspended), Zidane rested Keylor Navas, Raphael Varane, Marcelo, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and Isco for the midweek match, which leaves Real in third place, 18 points behind champions Barcelona with two games left.

Real Madrid injuries

Ronaldo is set to miss out again after suffering a sprained ankle against Barcelona last Sunday, which saw the Portuguese withdrawn at half-time in the Clasico. Meanwhile, Carvajal is not quite ready to return from injury. Isco is fit again and should be back after he was rested on Wednesday.

Gareth Bale was banned for the trip to Sevilla on Wednesday, but the Welsh winger returns for this one.

Real Madrid potential starting line-up

With Bale back from suspension, the Welshman should start in attack for Real Madrid on Saturday – possibly alongside Borja Mayoral with Karim Benzema on the bench.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still out, with the priority for the Portuguese to focus on a return to fitness ahead of the Champions League final later this month.

Isco should feature for the first time after injury, while Navas, Modric, Kroos, Marcelo and Varane are all expected to return to the starting line-up following their rest for the Sevilla game on Wednesday.

Celta Vigo team news

This has been something of an inconsistent season for Celta Vigo, with the Galicians safe from relegation but not challenging for a place in European competition.

Juan Carlos Unzue's side are down in 12th position with 46 points, but they have been able to raise their game for the big teams, drawing home and away with Barcelona and also against Real Madrid at Balaidos in January.

Spain striker Iago Aspas could return from injury at the Bernabeu, but winger Emre Mor and defensive midfielder Nemanja Radoja are both doubtful.
