It has been reported by Marca that the youngster is looking to switch international allegiance to Spain, having progressed through the academy ranks at Atletico Madrid since the age of 10.

That is an issue to be addressed another day, though, with El Espanol the first to report that Theo had been quizzed by local authorities in the Costa del Sol.

The alleged events took place on Saturday night at the OIivia Valera nightclub in Marbella.

Theo is allegedly accused of having forced himself onto a woman who had told him to stop, with the act taking place in a car and the victim subsequently having been thrown from the vehicle.

He has, however, denied any wrongdoing and National Police in Marbella have confirmed to Goal that he has not been detained.

Theo was questioned on Monday morning as part of the investigation.
