Ademola Lookman is delighted with his ‘amazing’ debut in RB Leipzig’s 1-0 victory over Borussia Moenchengladbach in Saturday’s Bundesliga game.
The former Charlton Athletic player joined the German side on loan in January from English Premier League side, Everton.
The youngster made an immediate impact at the Red Bull Arena as he netted the match-winning goal for Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men, becoming the first Englishman to score in the Bundesliga since Owen Hargreaves in August 2005.
And following the impressive display, the forward has expressed his joy for the goal and the maximum points secured.
"It's amazing. I'm happy to make my debut and to top it off with a goal is fantastic," Lookman told Bundesliga website after the game.
"The win and three points is the most important thing, so I'm happy.
"I think we played well as a team, kept possession well, played in between the lines. When I got the call to come on, I was just thinking of how I could make an impact, and thank God I did."
