The Three Lions boss has named his selection for this summer's tournament in France, with the teenage Manchester United striker picked along with the injury-prone Liverpool star

Roy Hodgson has named his 23-man England squad for Euro 2016, with both Marcus Rashford and Daniel Sturridge included.

Andros Townsend and Danny Drinkwater are the men to miss out from Hodgson's preliminary squad, with Fabian Delph having already left the group due to an injury.

Townsend failed to start either of the Three Lions' two warm-up friendlies thus far, against Turkey and Australia, instead coming on as a substitute in the second game while Drinkwater played 16 minutes against Turkey and the full 90 against Ange Postecoglou's men.

Rashford, meanwhile, scored on his international debut against Australia and has been selected as a striking option, with Hodgson taking a total of five strikers to France.

The 18-year-old, who scored eight goals for United in 2015-16, joins Sturridge, Tottenham star Harry Kane, Leicester City's Jamie Vardy and Three Lions captain Wayne Rooney as Hodgson's forwards.

Sturridge has struggled with injury throughout the season and reports suggested he was sweating over his place in the manager's final 23-man selection, but the former Fulham manager has chosen to gamble on the Liverpool star's fitness.

Hodgson has also included Jack Wilshere, despite the Arsenal midfielder's lack of club football this season.

Sturridge will wear the number 15 shirt at the tournament in France, while Rashford has been handed the number 22. Kane will wear nine, while Vardy has been handed 11. Rooney retains his preferred number 10.
