Although Ramon Marcote's recent appointment as Kedah head coach is his second stint at the club, he has remarked that he still needs to start from scratch with his players.

"Today is the fifth day (since his appointment), so we're only sharing knowledge with each other, learning about the players' skills, (although) I already know about their skills from my previous stint in 2015.

"We also discussed about tactical concepts. They must understand the general concepts at the beginning of the season, how we can play, what we can do as a team.

"We also discussed about the tactical mistakes we made in the past and how to fix them," explained the former Atletico Madrid trainer in a video interview that was published on Kedah's Facebook page.

He also said in the interview that he is currently focusing on building their strengths in order to minimise injuries.

"Of course this being the first week, I am also working on their fitness and improving their feet, in order to prevent injuries.

"The first week is always difficult because the players must adapt, (but) I think they're doing a very good job, and thankfully there have been no injuries," the Spaniard remarked.
