T-Team FC head coach, Rahmad Darmawan is hoping that the draw against Perak will boost the team’s spirit in their upcoming games.
In their Super League match on Saturday, T-Team almost collected three points at the Perak Stadium, before Perak received a controversial penalty and equalised in the final minutes of the game.
Rahmad was full of praise for his players, but refused to comment on the Bos Gaurus' penalty just before the final whistle.
Speaking after the game, Darmawan said; “I must congratulate my players. The result said we got one point, but I think they gave me a three-point performance.”
“It was a tough game but in overall, I am satisfied because we challenged Perak, who have lots of quality players and also played on their own turf.”
“(About the penalty) that’s between the referee and god. For us, we accept the decision. That’s football, anything can happen so we just have to accept it.”
Rahmad added that the draw against Perak could lift the team up for a better result in the next game, as they will face Kedah next weekend.
“I hope this can be a good starting point for us to bounce back. Remember that for us, we lost five or six players and we didn’t sign new players. We only brought in players from our President 's Cup squad.”
“We will face Kedah next Saturday at home. It is another tough game, but I hope this draw can be a catalyst for us to get good results in the future,” added Darmawan.
Playing on a wet and soggy pitch, Perak took the lead first through Yashir Pinto in the 12th minute, before Dilshod Sharofetdinov equalised early in the second half.
T-Team then took the lead in the 71st minute when Fakhrurazi Musa scored for the visitors, but the referee rewarded Perak with a penalty deep in injury time, and Perak’s Abdul Hadi had no problem to convert the spot kick, to make the final scoreline 2-2.
