Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier has hit out at critics who feel KPL AllStars could have recorded a win in Spain.

The Kenyan side under the tutorial of Harambee Stars coach Stanley Okumbi suffered 4-0 and 1-0 defeats against Cordoba and Sevilla Atletico respectively. Rachier says the intention of the tour was the most important thing and not the outcome.

"We are happy with this arrangement, it has exposed the team to the outside world and some level of competitiveness. The sides we played against are on a higher level compared to ours, and getting them to face us was meant to help the team learn.

"It was not about winning or losing these matches, no, we were working on exposure with the main target being helping the team develop."

The team returned from Spain on Tuesday with players set to join their respective clubs for league assignment.
