Prince Harry and the actress Meghan Markle will marry on Saturday May 19, 2018, the same day as the FA Cup final, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
Meghan Markle is perhaps best known for her role on the television drama Suits, in which she plays associate Rachel Zane. The pair confirmed their engagement last month.
The couple will tie the knot at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, but Prince Harry may well hope that his beloved Arsenal do not reach the showpiece at Wembley.
The Gunners won the competition last season, and also in 2014-15, and have been drawn against Nottingham Forest in the third round this term.
Harry let slip that he supports the Gunners at an England rugby training session earlier this year, fresh from Arsenal’s defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
His brother, William, is an avowed supporter of Aston Villa; a final meeting between the two clubs would cause a few headaches come May 19!
