Round 18 of the Malaysia Super League will be played this Wednesday, and one of the most-anticipated matches will be the one between Felda United and Selangor, at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium in Jengka, Pahang.

CURRENT FORMS

This match will feature two of the best-performing teams since the mid-season break, with the sixth-placed hosts having recorded four wins, two draws and one defeat out of seven matches, while the visitors, currently in fourth, have recorded five wins and two draws.

However, the Fighters' currently have not won their last two matches. Last Tuesday they drew 1-1 at home against Perak in their Malaysia Cup group match, while on Saturday they lost 1-0 away to the same opponents in their Super League clash.

The Red Giants meanwhile have been a lot more consistent as compared to the first stretch of the league, having avoided defeat in all competitions since May 24.

RECENT RECORDS

In recent years, matches between the two sides have always produced fantastic encounters on the pitch, and Wednesday's match in Jengka is expected to be the same.

In their last five encounters, the Fighters have come out tops three times, the Red Giants once, with one match ending in a draw.

The last time Selangor won away to Felda was in 2015, a round one FA Cup clash which they won on penalties, coincidentally held at the Selayang Municipal Cuncil Stadium, Selangor's home ground now.

VERDICT

The visitors are definitely on a roll at the moment while the hosts have not won, but as they will be playing away, the hosts may be still good enough to force the match into a draw.
