The three Premier League sides, alongside Lille and Lyon have all been linked with the 22-year-old Angers attacker

Manchester City, Newcastle United, and Watford have joined Lyon and Lille in the race to sign attacker Nicolas Pepe from Angers.

The Ivorian impressed for Ligue 1 newcomers Angers in his first top-flight campaign last season as he helped the Stephane Moulin coached outfit to a mid-table finish and the French Cup final where they fell to Paris Saint-Germain.

Pepe netted three goals in 47 appearances and grabbed two assists.

According to L'Equipe, Man City are the latest Premier League side to have joined the race to sign the 22-year-old, with Watford and newly promoted Newcastle also reported to be keen on the attacker. Within the Ligue 1, Lyon and Lille are also chasing the former Poitiers man.

Les Scoistes are said to be asking for £15 million for the talented attacker, a price which may see Newcastle drop out of the race for the winger's signature as they are looking for a player to rival Ghanaian attacker Christian Atsu for a starting spot in their squad.
