100th goal makes Crouch 26th all-time Premier League top scorer

The Stoke forward has found it difficult to establish a place in Mark Hughes' side this season but has finally hit a century of goals in the top tier

Peter Crouch climbed the ranks of the Premier League all-time top scorers list on Wednesday, notching his 100th top-flight goal in Stoke's 1-1 draw with Everton.

The striker was on hand to tuck away a simple effort at the Britannia Stadium against Ronald Koeman's side and celebrated the milestone with 'The Robot' - his trademark celebratory dance.

Crouch's landmark goal sits him in prestigious company, now ranked among the likes of  Alan Shearer, Thierry Henry, Ian Wright and Robbie Fowler.

"There's some fantastic players in that 100 club, so to be among them is great for me," Crouch said after the game. "The minute it went in, it's a great feeling.

"It's quite emotional and nice to get in there because there's a lot of players that I look up to.

"There's been some great goals along the way and also some scrappy ones, but we'll take them."

Stoke boss Mark Hughes also paid tribute to his striker, who 419 appearances to reach the 100-goal mark.

"Everybody talks about his personality and his character but above all he's an exceptional football player," said Hughes.

"It's fantastic. It's credit to him. Since he's come back into the side, he's been excellent."
