Mwatate United stunned Kenya Premier League side Bandari 2-0 during a pre-season friendly played at Danson Mwanyumba Stadium in Wundanyi on Tuesday.
Babu Kulinda scored the opening goal for the victors in the 35th minute and they held on to enjoy a slim lead at half-time. Man of the match Thomas Nyokole sealed victory with a long range screamer ten minutes to time that caught former AFC Leopards custodian Lucas Indeche stranded.
Bandari fielded their first eleven including new signings. The Dockers under new coach Paul Nkata have now lost two matches during the pre-season period leaving club fans massively frustrated.
Last week, they lost 1-2 to National Super League side Modern Coast Rangers. Bandari are among the team’s touted to challenge for the title following massive recruitment during the just ended transfer window.
