Pogba & Evra's message to Juventus: We reached the Euro 2016 final to get out of pre-season!

The duo helped France see off Germany and are pleased to delay their return to Juventus for another week as they prepare to take on Portugal in this Sunday's showpiece


Footballers across Europe may be dreading pre-season but for Paul Pogba and Patrice Evra, reaching the Euro 2016 final has been a godsend in more ways than one.

The Juventus duo will have been granted an extended holiday following their exploits in France, but seeing off Germany in Thursday’s semi-final now has now added a few more days on to their return date.

And in their post-match interview, Pogba and Evra couldn’t hide their delight at delaying their return to Juventus.

"We have the pressure to return soon to Vinovo to run [in pre-season],” said Evra.

“It was important to win today to have another week. This is a little message to Mr. Allegri and our coaches. Another week. We played with this motivation!”
