Singida United Head Coach Hans van der Pluijm has blamed the hot scorching sun as the reason his team lost concentration and failed to play well in the start of the game against Mwadui FC.

Van der Pluijm told Goal that they had to fight hard to win by the 3-2 score line, needing a comeback after they had fell behind by 2-0 with the visitors scoring two quick-fire goals.

"Yesterday’s  match will remain in our memory because Mwadui FC is also the team that beat us in the first game this season and yesterday they wanted to continue with their record but  I congratulate my players for their efforts until they got the 3-2 victory over them"  said Dutchman Van der Pluijm.

Pluijm said playing in the hot sun was a challenge to his players who have never played in such a situation before.
