Singida United Dutch tactician, Hans van der Pluijm has revealed the reason his side lost 4-0 to Simba, at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The defeat ended Singida’s good run in the league which had seen the side earn three consecutive victories at their home ground Namfua Stadium.
Speaking to Goal Pluijm revealed that the major cause of his side losing direction in its last two games against Simba and Majimaji FC was fatigue due to the hard work they had done in the recent Mapinduzi Cup in Zanzibar.
“We have failed to secure positive results since we returned to league action from the Mapinduzi Cup and this is due to player’s fatigue. So I am pleased that we are going to wind up the league first round this weekend so my players can rest and regain their form and fitness,” said Pluijm.
The Dutchman boasted that his side will be at their best when the league resumes in the second.
