Ntuli has been deemed surplus to requirements at Masandawana, opening the door for Dikwena to retain his services on a permanent basis

Mamelodi Sundowns striker Bonginkosi Ntuli spent the 2016/2017 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season out on loan at Platinum Stars.

However, following the 26-year-old’s decent performances during the season, which saw him bag four goals and one assist in 19 league appearances, Dikwena are believed to be keen on retaining his services.

According to the latest reports coming out of Chloorkop, it is believed that a return to Sundowns is highly unlikely for Ntuli as he has not done enough to warrant a return to Masandawana and no longer forms part of coach Pitso Mosimane’s plans.

Nonetheless, it is believed that Stars are keen on retaining Ntuli’s services and are currently locked in negotiations with his employers, but it is unclear whether the two parties will reach an agreement.

Meanwhile, Stars have only recently confirmed the appointment of Peter Butler as their new head coach following Cavin Johnson’s untimely departure.
