Aubameyang’s hat-trick powers Borussia Dortmund past Borussia Monchengladbach

The Gabon international netted a treble as BVB brushed aside the Foals in Saturday’s German top flight encounter

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a hat-trick for Borussia Dortmund in their 6-1 demolition of Borussia Monchengladbach in a German Bundesliga encounter.

Maximilian Philipp started the party for the Westfalenstadion outfit in the 28th minutes and doubled the lead ten minutes later to wrap up his brace.

Aubameyang found the net in the 45th minutes for Peter Bosz’s men to take a 3-0 lead into the half-time break.

Four minutes into the second half of the game, the former Monaco talisman registered the fourth goal of the outing and then completed his hat-trick in the 62nd minutes.

Germany international Lars Stindl marked the consolation for the visitors in the 66th minutes before Julian Weigl put the icing on the cake for the 2012 champions.

Dortmund will next lock horns with Real Madrid on Tuesday in the Uefa Champions League clash and the Gabonese will be expected to continue his impressive form in the outing.
