Philadelphia Union defender Auston Trusty has been added to the United States roster for the U-20 World Cup, U.S. Soccer announced Wednesday.

The 18-year-old center back has taken the place of defender Marlon Fossey, who has been released back to Fulham because of a groin injury he carried into camp.

Trusty has been training with Tab Ramos' squad as an alternate since the U.S. departed for its pre-tournament camp in Japan on May 10.

The U.S. team arrived Wednesday in Incheon, South Korea, ahead of its opening match against Ecuador on Monday.
