Nigeria’s Peter Olayinka was on target as Zulte-Waregem forced Kortrijk to a 2-2 draw in Saturday’s Belgian First Division A encounter at the Regenboog Stadium.

Teddy Chevalier opened the scoring for the guests in the 13th minutes courtesy of an assist from Stijn De Smet and Francky Dury’s side responded swiftly with the Nigerian firing home the equalizer moments later.

Bennard Yao Kumordzi ensured that Yannis Anastasiou’s men go into the break on the front foot after he dipatched one past Nicola Leali.

Onur Kaya’s strike in the 49th minutes helped the Regenboog outfit salvaged a point in the duel.

With this result, Zulte-Waregem are sixth in the log having garnered ten points from six games and will be hoping to put up a better display when they host Nice in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday.
