The 25-year-old who has one year remaining on his current contract with Matsatsantsa, was linked with a move to Orlando Pirates. However, reports have now emerged, that Williams has been offered a new and improved long term contract as the club are keen to hold onto their prized asset.
Although, the Bafana Bafana international is yet to agree to the new deal, it is believed that negotiations are at an advanced stage and it is expected to be finalised sooner rather than later.
While Williams has faced stern opposition over the last 12 months with the club roping in former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Reyaad Pieterse, he remains happy in Tshwane.
Meanwhile, SuperSport have confirmed that Eric Tinkler will not be on the bench in Guinea as they face off against Horoya AC in the Caf Confederation Cup. “Eric (Tinkler) is still going through an adjustment and getting used to the structures of the club – call it an induction period.
