Onimbo makes the cut as Sofapaka unveils squad

Sofapaka will play a 4-5-1 formation with Michael Oduor and Ezekiel Okare supporting the midfield from the right and left flanks

Ricky Onimbo has made the cut in Sofapaka squad for the first time as Batoto Ba Mungu faces off with Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday evening.

Sofapaka will entertain fellow premier league side in a GOtv Cup round of 16 at Nyayo National Stadium.

Onimbo joined Batoto Ba Mungu last June from Kakakuona FC and he has been given a starting role from the bench.
Umaru Kasumba will lead Sofapaka’s attack while goalkeeper, George Opiyo takes the place of Mathias Kigonya who is in Spain with KPL-AllStars.

Sofapaka will play a 4-5-1 formation with Michael Oduor and Ezekiel Okare supporting the midfield from the flanks with Captain Hillary Echesa, Bernard Mang'oli and Ali Feni deployed in the hole.

Sofapaka Starting XI: George Opiyo (GK), Willis Ouma, Abudalatif Omar, Kennedy Odour, Jonathan Mugabi, Hillary Echesa (CPT), Michael Odour, Bernard Mang'oli, Umaru Kasumba, Ali Feni, Ezekiel Okare.

Reserve: Juma Reuben (GK), Ricky Onimbo, Humphrey Okoti, Maurice Odipo, Brian Dayo Magonya, Timothy Luda, Meshack Karani.
