Olympics goalkeeper Sai eyes Medeama downfall in GPL

Great Olympics goalkeeper Michael Sai believes they will pick maximum points against Medeama on Sunday in the Ghana Premier League matchday 23 fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.

After going three games without a point across the month of June, the Wonder Club have picked four points from their last two games, including a priceless away point against Ebusua Dwarfs in Cape Coast and would want to add Medeama to the victims as they seek to avoid relegation.

“As we all can see, the race to escape relegation is getting increasingly difficult for us because the teams around us are winning all their games. Elmina Sharks went to Dansoman of all places to pick maximum points against Liberty in midweek, so I think we have to work extra hard to achieve our goal,” Sai told Happy FM .

“Nothing is impossible in football and I believe if we can maintain the form we’ve exhibited in our last two games, we can finish the league on a high. We have to beat Medeama on Sunday to keep our dreams alive and I’m confident that our position on the table will change this weekend with a win. We definitely need the points and will surely grab it amid all the challenges ahead of us,” he added.

With eight matches remaining, Olympics sit 14th position with 23 points, three points away from safety. Debutants Bolga All Stars are the only side who look destined to be relegated after picking only 16 points.
