The Desert Scorpions’ player has thumbed up the performance of their match hero against Abia Warriors and Nasarawa United.

Gombe United striker, Austin Oladapo has hailed his strike partner, Sani Abbani who notched his second goal of the season in the last two games to ensure that the Desert Scorpions secured their second away draw against Nasarawa United in Lafia.

“It was important we got the point we did against Nasarawa United. We have been longing for it for a long time. I want to appreciate Abbani that made the point possible through his goal. He was on hand to rescue us against Abia Warriors and he repeated the feat in Lafia,” Oladapo told Goal.

“I always know that Abbani is a good player and that he will still contribute his quota to the team later on in the season. He has been with us since the beginning of the season but it is now his own turn to come to the rescue of the season.

It was the crucial strike of Abbani in their penultimate game before their trip to Lafia at the Pantami Stadium that sealed their comeback against Abia Warriors and Oladapo informed that his teammate has peaked at the right time and that they are working towards ensuring that the team does not go down on relegation at the end of the season.''
