Having helped the Sapeh Kerab Warriors to a home win on Sunday, the 35-year-old forward is excited and has acknowledged the fans for their support

Nigeria international Peter Odemwingie is pleased to have scored a brace in Madura United’s 3-1 victory over Persib Bandung in an Indonesian topflight encounter.

His efforts in the 21st and 66th minutes handed Gomes de Olivera’s men their seventh win of the season – which took them to the second position on the log.

Odemwingie took to social media to express his joy while saluting the fans for great support.

''Good 3-1 win for Madura United FC today against Persib. Happy to add another two . Great support from our fans again,'' Odemwingie tweeted.

With his feat, the former West Bromwich Albion forward took his goal tally of the season to 11 from 12 games.

Madura United face Bhayangkara Surabaya United in their next outing on Thursday at the Patriot Stadium.

A win for them could see them displace PSM Makassar, who are guests of Persiba Balikpapan from the peak of the table.
