Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that a section of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League fixtures will be honoured in the morning, if the need arises.
Although, the Black Stars missed out of the 2018 Fifa World Cup, local games are expected to crash with the Mundial and the Caf's first vice president believes rescheduling of the games to the mornings will be more ideal.
“We are going to start our season next year January\February and we hope that it will not clash with the World Cup,” Nyantakyi said during a three-day summit in Cape Coast.
"We may do an accelerated program to finish the first round before the World Cup. The other option is for the PLB to scheduled games that will not clash with the World Cup fixtures.
"We may have our league games probably played in the morning to avoid coinciding with the World Cup fixtures and realistic options must be taken,” he added.
Aduana Stars won last season's title and will be representing the country in the Caf Champions League.
Goal understands that the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League season will kick off in February and the first round is expected to come to an end in July.
