The visitors picked a valuable away point against the Lagos based outfit at the National Stadium on Wednesday evening

FC Robo Queens were held to a 0-0 draw by Abia Angels in Wednesday's Nigeria Women Football League at the National Stadium training pitch, Lagos.

Both sides kicked off the encounter on a very good note but the home team quickly settled into the game as former Nigeria U17 captain, Rasheedat Ajibade low shot was denied by Ann Chiejine's ladies earlier in the game.

The visitors continued to soak in pressure from their hosts as they search for a goal in the first half of the encounter, but all their efforts were to no avail as the referee sounded the half time whistle.

Coming into the second half, both teams came out with some level of spark as Abia Angels' defenders stood their ground to ensure the scoreline.

Robo had a chance to score in the closing minutes of the game but assistant referee had already flagged off Omosuyi Ayowunmi's chance before she could convert the chance.

The two teams cancelled themselves out in the reverse fixture in Umuahia earlier in the season.
