Rangers coach Mohammed Mchule reveals that they were not full prepared to face Palos FC in their NSL opener on Sunday

Modern Coast Rangers held Palos 2-2 in their first league match of 2017 National Super League in Kisumu on Sunday.

Rangers head coach Mohammed 'Mohaa' Mchule said they would have won the match had his boys not panicked. "The boys did not impress. They panicked and took long to settle. However, they came into the game later and managed to salvage at least a point which is better."

Mchule added that the postponement of their home match against Nairobi City Stars last weekend affected the morale of the team. "Palos were playing their second match so they had an advantage having picked positive result from their first match while we were playing our first match."

The coach further reiterated that some young and upcoming players were not used to the artificial turf and promised to work on the midfield before their next game against MOYAS on Saturday.
