‘No wahala, No shakin’ – Leon Balogun gives injury update

After suffering a nasty injury in the O-Fives’ loss on Friday night, the 29-year-old underwent a surgery and has sent a message to the fans

Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun has undergone a successful surgery and assured that he 'won't be gone too long'.

The Nigeria international was replaced in the 79th minute after suffering a broken cheek bone in a Bundesliga fixture against Schalke 04 at the Veltins-Arena.

Balogun who starred in the Super Eagles' run to Russia 2018 World Cup qualification, took to the social media to give an update of his recovery.

“Cheek bone broken, not my spirit though – surgery went well, won’t be gone too long. No Wahala, No shakin,” Balogun tweeted.
