After seeing limited playing time this season, an official has hinted the defender could feature against Kennedy Boboye's side this weekend

Iko James could make a sensational Nigeria Professional Football League return for Niger Tornadoes against Plateau United in Jos on Sunday.

The defender has not featured for the Ikon Allah since making his debut as a substitute against MFM FC in a Week One clash in Lagos.

However, the former Kogi United player has been included in the Abubakar Bala's squad to face the league leaders at the Rwang Pam Stadium.

With injury blow to central defender Andrew Ikefe who chopped a knock against Enyimba, James is highly favoured to start the north-central derby clash.

"[Iko] James is doing well, but disappointing he has not seen games this season. I can confirm that he will be available for Plateau games," an official told Goal on anonymity.

"We decided to rest Andrew [Ikefe] because he had a slight injury against Enyimba. It is a good opportunity for James to get a playing chance again."

Niger Tornadoes are currently unbeaten in last five games and will delight extending their run against toppers Plateau United.
