Reo-Coker, Richardson to be offered deals for next season at cash-strapped Granada

Tony Adams wants to keep the English duo in Andalucia, but they will be unable to assist in their relegation fight this season

Kieran Richardson and Nigel Reo-Coker will be offered contracts at La Liga strugglers Granada for next season, with financial woes preventing the free agents being signed immediately.

Richardson, formerly of Manchester United and Sunderland, and ex-West Ham midfielder Reo-Coker were brought in for a trial by Tony Adams when the former Arsenal and England captain was appointed as Granada's head coach earlier this month.

"They have both been brilliant and I would really like to take them and we will be offering them deals for next season," Adams told Sky Sports.

"However, we have a cash flow situation at the moment that doesn't allow us to bring them in.''

Reo-Coker has plied his trade with Vancouver Whitecaps, the now defunct Chivas USA and Montreal Impact in MLS since leaving Ipswich Town in 2013, while Richardson has been without a club after playing six matches for Cardiff City earlier this season.

If they take up the prospective offers from Granada, it looks increasingly likely they will be playing in Spain's second tier.

Adams lost his first two matches in charge without scoring against Celta Vigo and Sevilla, and the Andalusian club are seven points from safety with five games remaining.

Granada host Malaga on Tuesday and could be relegated by this weekend if results to not go in their favour.
