Ngozi Ebere is glad to make a goalscoring debut for Barcelona FA women in a 9-0 thrashing of Omonia Lefkothea in a Cypriot First Division Women's game at Limpia Stadium.
The defender who joined the Cyprus side on a one-year deal in October from PSG featured in her side's 5-0 loss to Apollon Limassol in the Women's Super Cup final.
However, the 26-year-old scored her side's fourth goal and made an assist to ensure her rampant Germasogeia based outfit eased past their hosts on Sunday.
"I'm so happy and proud scoring in my first league game in Cyprus. It means a lot to me," Ebere told Goal.
"I believe we were at our best and looked very hungry to win. We have a good team and hopefully, we will make the very best of it this season.
"We had to put behind us the Cup final loss to Apollon Limassol last week. It happened because this is totally a new team and will need time to blend together.
"I'm enjoying the atmosphere here and I look forward to scoring more goals and also win titles with my team. I believe it is possible and hope to work hard towards it," she concluded.
Following their winning start, Ebere’s side will welcome the Cyprus queens Apollon Limassol in their next women's topflight fixture at Koinotiko Gipedo Germasogeia on November 12.
