Newcastle Jets have secured the signature of Dimitri Petratos for the second time in six months, with the attacking midfielder signing for the next two A-League seasons.
Petratos first signed for the Jets in January, agreeing to a three-year deal that was set to commence from the 2017-18 campaign, but was later sold by former club Brisbane Roar to K League outfit Ulsan.
The Jets received compensation for missing out on the midfielder and have now signed him anyway.

After a frustrating period in South Korea - Petratos made just nine appearances in all competitions - the 24-year-old has terminated his contract and was announced as a Newcastle player on Tuesday.
Jets coach Ernie Merrick and Petratos both expect the latter to be a more regular goal-scorer at Newcastle.
Petratos has scored 19 goals in 124 A-League matches with a season-high of six at Roar in 2015-16.
"'Dimi' is an attacking midfielder who is confident on the ball, can retain possession and play key forward passes to strikers," Merrick said in a statement.
"I hope to add to his game and encourage him to push more often into goal scoring areas.
"Dimi is an exciting player and a terrific signing for the Jets."
Petratos added: "Newcastle is the only current team in the A-League that I haven't scored against.
"Now that I have come here I kind of feel like it is my home. Now I won't be able to score against the Jets, only for them.

"I'm looking forward to meeting the boys officially and to be in the team with them. I'll work hard and play my part in the team, but two things I know I am here for are to assist and score goals."
Petratos will link up with his younger brother Kosta at McDonald Jones Stadium, with the latter having signed a one-year deal in January having spent the past season at Perth Glory.
Newcastle have signed six new players heading into 2017-18 with the Petratos brothers being joined by Roy O'Donovan, Glen Moss, Daniel Georgievski and Mario Shabow in switching to the Jets.
