The just inaugurated management team of the Ikon Allah Boys has ordered the disengagement of the club’s technical crew.

The new management of Niger Tornadoes has sacked members of the team's technical crew with immediate effect on Thursday evening shortly after training in Minna.

The newly constituted management team was inaugurated on Thursday morning by the Niger State Government and barely few hours later it has started making sweeping changes to the Ikon Allah Boys.

Team Manager of Tornadoes, Usman Alfa who confirmed the development expressed that the sacked coaches were free to reapply for the same position they occupied before they were relieved of it.

“Yes, it is true that the technical crew of Niger Tornadoes have been told to go. The coaches were however told that they could reapply if they so desire. We are carrying out an in-house cleansing the coaches are the first to suffer the effect,” Alfa told Goal.

“We are still going to further reorganize the team. We know that we only have few days to the start of the season and we must do whatever we have to do very fast.

“We are unmindful of the legacy set by the club last season and the need to sustain it.”

Alfa informed that even though the coaches handled Thursday evening’s training session they were served their disengagement letter immediately after it.

Coach of Tornadoes is vacating the job despite leading the club to the final of the Federation Cup last year and ensuring that they retained their topflight status at the end of the 2016-17 season.
