Tusker overcame lower league side Palos FC in a friendly match played on Wednesday

Tusker beat National Super League side Palos FC 4-2 in a friendly match played on Wednesday at Moi Stadium, Kisumu.

New signing from Bandari FC Victor Ndinya scored for the Brewers to add up to goals from Michael Khamati, Noah Wafula and Stephen Owusu for the victory.

Wafula was the first to score in the 18th minute then Khamati grabbed his share in the 31st minute for Tusker before the hosts pulled one back few minutes into the breather.  Eustus Ochieng’ was the goal-scorer for Palos.

Tusker then changed their squad in the second half introducing Byrne Omondi between the sticks and it took them a couple of minutes for Owusu to drill in their third goal then Ndinya finished the job in the 82nd minute.

However, Palos never lost morale and fought until the final whistle was blown, their effort bearing fruit in injury time with a goal courtesy of John Wanda to end it 2-4.

That becomes Tusker’s first pre-season friendly match. They will play Vihiga United and Muhoroni Youth in similar encounters before returning to Nairobi.
