After laboring to a 12th place finish last season, Thika United coach James Nandwa says the same mistakes cannot be repeated.
The milkmen started the 2016 season on a low note and at one time the team were struggling deep in relegation battle. The introduction of the former Harambee Stars coach turned the tables around and he managed to get vital wins against the likes of AFC Leopards, Mathare United and eventual winners Tusker FC.
"It has to be different this time round, we have to ensure we have avoided last season's mistakes that made us struggle. We have a good squad, but that does not count if we fail to get positive result on the pitch, we have to show that we are capable of getting good results consistently.," Nandwa told Goal.
"As I said earlier, home matches will be very important to us, we have to ensure we win them and at leas get something away."
Thika United will start the 2016 journey away to Mathare United on Sunday.
